Check control is based on working time and includes :
A basic bicycle inspection is a safety check of the bicycle.
Control, degrease and adjust the brakes.
Control, clean and adjust the drivetrain and derailleurs.
Check and adjust the belt/chain and crank mechanism.
Control the tyres and inflate them to the correct pressure.
Control and adjust the wheels (including measuring spoke tension and centring the wheels).
Check and adjust the cockpit (handlebars and stem).
Control, clean and update electrical components (if applicable).
Control lights
Update system and control ( e bike with Bosch, Shimano, Bafang )
Test ride to check all components and driving

I live round the corner and was tuning an old Frankenstein race bike project but didn’t have the proper wrenches to adjust the steering
Without any doubt the friendly owner/mechanic did what he could with my rusty disaster, with considerable improvement and free of charge
